Whether you are a patient going through the transplant process, a caregiver assisting a pre or post-transplant recipient, or a donor family, going through this process can be one of the most challenging stages of your life.  Having a buddy who has been through what you're going through can help guide you through this process.  

 

We have trained volunteers who know firsthand what it's like to walk the transplant and organ donation journey.  They can answer questions you may have, can provide guidance on how to navigate through the process, and can offer support to you during these challenging times.

 

We try to match our buddies up with someone who has experienced similar situations and has been through the same challenges as their buddy.  We also try to match buddies up who live in the same area, but that is not always possible.

Buddies communicate through telephone calls, virtual meeting platforms, social media, and in some cases, in-person.
